Fund title: Deepbridge EIS SEIS Life Sciences

The Deepbridge Life Sciences EIS is an opportunity to participate in a portfolio of actively-managed growth focused life sciences companies, taking advantage of the potential tax benefits available under the Enterprise Investment Scheme. A diversified portfolio of actively managed growth focused companies seeking commercialisation funding, the Deepbridge EIS invests in life sciences companies that have robust intellectual property and are operating in a high growth market sector.

The investment strategy of the Deepbridge Life Sciences EIS is to invest in a diversified portfolio of companies that participate in one of the following:

  • Biopharmaceuticals
  • Biotechnology
  • Medical Technology.

Deepbridge takes an active role (not just a Board seat) to guide, mentor and counsel the investee management team. The provision of hands on operational experience combined with financial expertise aims to mitigate the investment risk borne by the Investor, along with comprehensive due diligence on investee companies.

Initial charge should be 2.5% however WealthMe clients obtain a discount to 0.625%. In addition Deepbridge will pay WealthMe 1.8% initial commission. Our arrangement fee is 1% therefore the rebate will be 0.8% plus 1.875%. The 0.8% will be paid back to the investor directly from WealthMe when we get paid, the 1.875% will be a reduction of initial investment charge.

*Rebate - Total 2.675%. The WealthMe Arrangement Fee is paid by the product provider.

If applicable, we will ask the product provider to reinvest any initial or trail commission back into your plan. This will be either in the form of a reduction in their charges or an enhancement of additional shares. However, if this cannot be facilitated, they will pay any initial or trail commission to WealthMe. We will then pay any surplus initial commission immediately back to the recipient. Any trail commission we receive will be paid to the recipient in April based on the amount received in the previous year (subject to a £10 administration fee). All initial and trail rebates will be paid net of basic rate tax and are to be treated as taxable income by the recipient as stipulated by HMRC.
