Fund title: Rockpool Managed Inheritance Tax Service

This is a discretionary management service and Rockpool will invest on your behalf in unquoted companies that qualify under the rules relating to Business Property Relief (BPR). It is designed to offer a simple solution to IHT and can offer IHT exemption within two years provided the investments are held at the date of death.

The service has been designed to provide a targeted return of 5% pa net of fees and corporation tax. This target return is based on the amount invested less the initial charge. There is of course no guarantee of returns but Rockpool will waive their annual management charge for any quarter in which the targeted 5%pa is not achieved.

Your capital is invested into unquoted shares in Novus Lending Ltd, whose business is to loan funds to a range of UK businesses (which is a qualifying trade for BPR).Borrowers must be profitable and/or be able to provide tangible asset security for the loans. Rockpool manages the lending programme to ensure that the credit risks are appropriately controlled.

Although your investment through the Rockpool Inheritance Service should be regarded as an investment to be held for more than 2 years, you can normally access your capital at any time. The minimum withdrawal is £10,000 and will be returned as soon as possible; however this may take up to twelve weeks. In the event of a major legislative change such as the removal of BPR by the Government or where the liquidity within the companies you have invested in is insufficient to facilitate a share buy-back, the process could take much longer.
